  • Tēnā koe Quinton, just want to say I'm finding your modules & Ako so clear & it hits me when I listen to whaikorero up home, I now understand how unique & simple Ngàpuhi dialect is. It's like a penny dropped kinda thing. I find it so down to earth & fills in the gap, I was missing, while learning past te reo courses. Can't speak for everyone else but I am so deeply grateful for your teachings. I feel your aroha in all you do. Thank you 💜

  • This is one of the most important resources in our kura, each book is a wananga, supported by rauemi, we love the Takawiniwini series. We can't all have Quinton Hita at our kura, but we can have a piece of his reo to share with our tamariki!

Michelle Sarich (Tumuaki Kura Kaupapa Māori o Hokianga)

  • Tena Koutou te Whanau o Quinton Hita 'Maori in a Minute'. I am a subscribed member of Maori in a Minute and I love the holistic inclusion (Whare Tapa Wha) of all the whanau. I wish to express my deepest appreciation for all that I have read, watched and listened to with 'Maori in a Minute' and I support this kaupapa from the bottom of my heart because it is all about 'Whanau' to me. Arohatinonui.

  • Te Kura Takawaenga o Whangārei love Maori in a Minute. We love the fact that it is Ngā Puhi mita. The kids love the games and the follow-up activities that reinforce learning. This resource is highly recommended to grow our reo!

  • Kia ora Quinton Thankyou so much for this beautiful work. I have learnt more in the first lesson than I did in a month with a past program That resource chose not to include english and proved to be quite frustrating as I am a beginner. I am so glad I found you.

  • Ātaahua rawa te hanga o te 'Homepage' hou! That's a definite like 👍. And it's a definite 👍👍 mo ngā hua tino pai rawa atu o ngā rauemi reo Ngā Puhi nei. E kore ngā mihi e mimiti!

    Janice Howe

  • We utilise Takawiniwini with all of our Kura Tēina as part of our Reo Māori Strategy plan. We access this resource to ensure our tamariki are exposed to te reo o te kāinga. Our tamariki and kaiako enjoy working through the interactive activities and games to grasp kupu hou and to check on correct sentence structures.

Moana Timoko - (Tumuaki Tuarua, Te Kura Kaupapa Māori o Kaikohe)

  • Tēnā tātou, te ātaahua tonu o ēnei kaupapa. I’ve been browsing through the kaupapa mīharo ngā rauemi katoa. A truly beautiful site to enter into. Lovely to be back.

  • E mara, this is just perfect and an absolute God-send for those of us in Australia eager to stay connected.

  • I've always loved listening to your reo on your Facebook page, it's ngapuhi reo and I love it, it takes me back in the years to the memories of loved ones long since sleeping and it links me and my mokopuna to them ♥️ so thank you for AKO, I absolutely love it and I will NOT be canceling my subscription. I specifically love the interactive digital learning that you use in AKO and the way you explain things at the start in English is so helpful. By learning te reo, you are helping me to reach into the past so that I can stand strong in the present and guide my mokopuna to make wise decisions for their future - nui te aroha kia koe me to whanau.

  • Kia ora Matua I've just downloaded today and love it already, I've scheduled it in my daily routine and hoping to make some better progress this year. Thank you for all you do.

  • I'm really enjoying the fact that this isn't a English education reo speaking program, this may be due to the fact that I've recently, as in 2 years ago, found out that I'm very dyslexic .... I don't feel whakama learning on your program has been given me confidence. I really enjoy its easy to use and follow format it makes sense to me.

  • The whole course is easy to follow and very user friendly. I like the videos where they at the moment because they relate to the mahi I am doing at the time of my learning. Thankyou for providing this opportunity for us to learn and improve our Reo and knowledge.

  • I am grateful for this online learning; I find this tremendously helpful in retaining knowledge. The appearance, functionality, activities, and games, the wananga games I can replay many times. Thank you

  • We have been doing your course for the past two months with our two tama. Its important to us that our sons know the mita of their Ngaapuhi tuupuna. At 7pm we do a lesson, with our milo and pihikete. One of our sons picks it up very quickly and understands it well. Our potiki has verbal autism, but he seems to pick up your lessons and form of teaching very well. We also learn haka from Ngapuhi and Waikato. I just wanted to share this email and share that we appreciate your efforts in creating this taonga ako for our sons, and ourselves.

  • Thank you for your email. I am very grateful for your Maori Minute Reo program. The annual subscription is the cheapest online for the Amazing work you and your whanau share to provide this service and content of excellent quality - for Te Reo Maori and Ngapuhi mita

  • Dear Quinton I love all your mahi. The reo resonates with my soul. I have a long way to go but learning from you makes the journey enjoyable.

  • Nga mihi ki a koe I re po nei. I have enjoyed Maori in a minute having lived and learned around the motu and finally hearing korero that I am used to hearing mainly from my mother and extended whanau. I have been promoting this kaupapa at work as many of us there are Ngapuhi so hopefully we get a better uptake for our people.

  • We at Te kura o Tautoro we appreciate the passion and hard work you have done and continue to do to keep the home fires burning with te Reo o Ngapuhi. He mihi tino nui mo to mahi rangatira.

  • Ngā mihi nunui ki a koe 🙏🏽 I feel so blessed for this resource, thank you for all the work you do so that we have access to this learning. When I hear you speak, it reminds me of my karani and pāpā when we used to listen to them kōrero with my other koroua growing up. I am determined to learn, utilise and pass on our dialect in my reo journey, thank you thank you thank you.

  • Nga mihi for all your hard work matua. My son has also just subscribed and is lauding your praises as well. Please keep on doing what you're doing for our people.

  • Haramai tētahi āhua e mara. Thanks so much for all you are doing to bring this awesome resource to life. Any spare time I get is spent on the Māori Minute Website.
